The process
How a consultation works.
- Format
- Your first appointment is always by video.
- With
- See a practitioner from home.
- Intake
- Start with a short health form.
- Outcome
- You decide next steps together.
Four steps take you from a short form to a written care plan.
-
Before
Get in touch.
Fill in a short form about your health, goals and medicines. Your practitioner reads it before you meet.
About the form
- It helps your practitioner prepare
- It doesn't replace your video call
- It can't diagnose or prescribe
-
Appointment
Meet your practitioner.
Talk to a registered Australian health practitioner on a private video call. They'll share their registration number and confirm who you are.
What you'll cover
- Your history and current health
- Your medicines and how they interact
- Whether in-person care suits you better
-
Decision
Receive your care plan.
Your practitioner recommends a next step. That could be advice, a test, a GP referral or monitoring. It could be treatment, if deemed medically appropriate. Or nothing may need treating yet. You get your plan in writing.
What your plan covers
- What your practitioner found
- Your options and their risks
- What might happen if you wait
-
Review
Review and refine.
Your practitioner sets when your next review happens. Go over your results together and change the plan when needed. Nothing renews on its own.
What happens next
- Your review is booked with your plan
- We update your GP if you agree
- You can stop at any time
