About Aurem

Who we are and how we work.

Aurem is an Australian online clinic. Every appointment is live, with a registered Australian practitioner. Your first one is always by video.

Our name comes from aurum, Latin for gold.

What you can check

  1. Look up your practitioner.

    You'll get their name and registration number. Check them on the public register anytime.

  2. Our practitioners aren't paid more for prescribing.

    They have no targets for prescriptions, patients kept or revenue. Their pay stays the same either way.

  3. See the fee before you book.

    Your fee shows before you confirm. If you're prescribed medicine, you pay the pharmacy you choose.

  4. Know what video can't cover.

    Each care area page lists it, including anything urgent. Check it before you book.

At each review, your practitioner goes through your results with you. Your plan may be adjusted, or it may stop, depending on what they show.

What Aurem doesn't offer.

Emergency care
We don't monitor you between appointments. For urgent care, see your GP or a hospital. In an emergency, call 000.
A GP replacement
Your everyday care stays with your GP. We can keep them updated, if you agree.
Treatment on request
Your practitioner recommends what's next. Treatment is one of six possible outcomes, if deemed medically appropriate.
Every answer by video
Some things can't be assessed by video. You may need tests or a referral to your GP.
In-person exams
Suspicious moles and many injuries need a hands-on check. We can help you find where to go.
Outcome promises
No one can say in advance how you'll respond. Your practitioner explains what's known.
